Information for Tenants

Charter Fair will be held on South Green from Thursday 29th May – Sunday 1st June 2008, (arriving on Tuesday 27th May and departing on Monday 2nd June).

Bed Linen, i.e. pairs of sheets or duvet covers, under-sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea towels MUST BE SUPPLIED BY ALL TENANTS unless otherwise stated in the property description. Should you wish to hire linen please contact Sam on 01502 578671 direct, to arrange.
NB: As some of our houses still have blankets and not duvets, kindly check when your initial booking is made.

Please remember to mention if you have any special requirements as it is the responsibility of all tenants, that any property booked is suitable, if in any doubt contact our office for further information in order that we can suggest any suitable accommodation as the majority of our properties are period or Victorian style, and may have narrow corridors or steps at various intervals.

Late Arrivals: There will be a charge for keys that have to be left at an alternative place for your collection after 4.30pm, please bring this payment to our office on the following Monday. Keys returned later than 10.00 a.m. on morning of departure will carry an additional charge.

Whilst your tenancy should commence at 2pm we have, on the odd occasion, due to unforeseen circumstances, had to arrange certain repairs prior to making the keys available. We hope this will not be the case when you visit us this year.

Receipts: Will be issued on arrival when keys are collected between 2pm – 4.30pm from this office (unless otherwise stated). Should you require a receipt prior to this, please enclose a S.A.E when forwarding the balance rent.

Keys: Will NOT be available for collection until you have agreed our terms & conditions and the balance rent has been paid to this office PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL.

Telephone Calls: Where applicable are payable to our office at the end of the Tenancy.

Beach chalets (for use during the day only) can be hired through this office. These are equipped with chairs and equipment suitable for providing light refreshments. Full rent payable at time of booking – weekly rates range from £110 - £250.

Cots & Equipment: May be hired direct from Garrett’s Housekeeping Services, telephone: 01502 724316. DISCLAIMER: Garrett’s cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury, etc. which may occur whilst using any of the baby/toddler equipment.

We would like to remind you that the majority of the furnished properties advertised in this brochure include gas and electricity in the rental UNLESS otherwise stated in the description.

We must stress that where a DOG is acceptable it must NOT be allowed on the FURNITURE, BEDS or indeed the FIRST FLOOR of the property otherwise this may result in a cleaning charge after your departure. Also gardens must be checked and cleaned if necessary.

No dogs under one year old (i.e. puppies) allowed in any property.

Kindly note Dog Restrictions along the beach April - October or you may be liable for a fine from the Waveney District Council.

Due to insurance OPEN FIRES are NOT TO BE USED AT ANY TIME.

Before Departure: You are requested to ensure that the property has been thoroughly cleaned, cookers and refrigerators cleaned and all electrical appliances switched off unless otherwise stated.

If personal belongings are left behind, a minimum charge of £10.00 will be made for collection, postage and packaging. No guarantee can be made that these can be dispatched within a specified time. Any item not claimed within 2 weeks will be taken to the local charity shop.
